Going Green: Solar Power

Hi, everybody! This is the writer, here to explain why solar energy is a good alternative to oil or other fossil fuels.

You all know how global warming is being caused by the huge amounts of greenhouse gases being released to the atmosphere thanks to those dirty fossil fuels we've been depending too much on. And I'm sure you've heard how there really aren't that much fossil fuels left in the world because we use so much of it.

But fear not! There are alternatives to the fossil fuels we are using. And these alternatives are clean and ever-lasting compared to the fossil fuels we are eating away by the minute. One such alternative is solar energy. That's right, harnessing the power of the sun to run our machines.

Unlike with fossil fuels, we'll never run out of the sun's power. The solar plants won't emit greenhouse gases because there will be nothing to burn when making electricity from the sun. It's really clean energy. And if you have your own solar panel set up, doesn't that mean you get free energy?
